Ever want to get inked while on board a historic warship? Your answer is clearly yes, so head over to the Independence Seaport Museum’s Tattoo Festival this weekend, running today through Sunday, for a chance.

Annual Harvest Festival @ Reading Terminal Market
Filbert Street between 11th and 12th will be shut down, as Reading Terminal delivers tractor rides, haybales, and a pumpkin patch outside the market. The festival is open 10AM through 4PM. Marisa has the scoop, here.

Clean Up Day @ Fair Hill Burial Grounds

Family Writing Series @ the Painted Bride
This new series at the Painted Bride invites children, their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc to the Center for talks with artists, tours, and an interactive writing workshop where families can “work together to create poems, stories, and illustrations about their own neighborhoods.” The workshop is free!
Fall Festival @ Schuylkill River Park
It might be chilly out, but it’s not quite time to hunker down indoors yet. This Fall Festival at the Schuylkill River Park promises good food, craft workshops, live swing music, and lots of activities for kids.

Biketoberfest @ the Dock Street Brewery
For eight bucks, you’ll enjoy a day of music, special Biketoberfest brew and food, raffle prizes, and their complimentary bike valet. Sounds like a great festival to me.

Saffon, an architectural critic for the Philly Inquirer, will be giving a lecture today at the Gershman Y about the recent changes to Philadelphia.
Mural Dedication in East Mt. Airy
The Mural Arts Program dedicates another one of their fine murals (by Paul Downie and David Woods) in East Mt. Airy, right outside the Mt. Airy Playground.
