rum_bar_logo

Cold weather brings with it a lot of things. Runny noses, freezing winds, awkwardly large winter coats, and of course, a constant desire to be someplace infinitely warmer. Well, the new chef over at Rittenhouse Square’s Rum Bar, Oscar Tecuapacho, knows this and is introducing a new, reinvented menu that’ll transport you to the Caribbean… well, at least during dinner.

Check out some of the new additions to the menu.

Small-plate starters
Bajan Pepperpot Soup—a mix of shrimp, chicken, rum, okra and asparagus, $7
Red Snapper Ceviche—lime, jalapeno, cilantro, red onion, scallion and tomato, $8.

Entrées
Chilean Seabass glazed in sweet avocado
Jumbo Lump Crabcakes with cucumber slaw and tartar sauce
Caribbean Paella with calamari, chorizo, shrimp and more in a Jamaican curry sauce
Pan Seared Scallops accompanied by a mixed green salad with grapefruit vinaigrette.

Desserts
Ginger and caramel infused Spiced Rum Cake, $8
Homemade Banana Bread Pudding, $6.

All of these new entrees are served with Calypso Squash au Gratin, Fried Plantains and Chili Cornbread, and priced under $25.
