This November marks Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than exploring the life and mind of the show’s creator?
Jim Henson’s Fantastic World exhibit is currently on display at the Michener Museum, featuring the man behind the Muppets alongside many of his most beloved characters. Discover the origins of Big Bird and the Sesame Street gang (among his various other projects) through Henson’s early doodles, comic strips, puppets and storyboards.
Until you can make the trip to the exhibit, indulge in a bit of Sesame Street nostalgia by checking out the official site’s extensive video archive and prepare to relive your childhood (for a minute or two, at least).
