First Friday @ Art in the Age: Impermanent Bliss
Tomorrow, Art in the Age presents a new group exhibition featuring works from Eric Amling, Kirkland Bray, and Matt LaFleur entitled Impermanent Bliss. By transforming man-made artifacts into all together new creations, the three artists challenge viewers to reexamine the familiar.
If you’re the music savvy type, you might recognize Amling’s work. His collages have been used by Philadelphia locals Dr. Dog and the Bowerbirds. The exhibit opens tomorrow and runs through November 29th, 2009.
This also marks Art in the Age’s one year anniversary. They plan to host a raffle and serve specialty ROOT cocktails through out the evening. Visit their official website for more information on the event.
