Returning for its third straight year, Harry Potter & The Magical Muggle Museum opens at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology on Sunday, November 22nd. Featuring new activities and surprises through out the museum, the event is free with regular museum admission ($10 adults, $6 kids). Come dressed like your favorite Harry Potter character, and join in the fun!
Visitors can expect a lot this year, including life-sized recreations of the storefronts in Diagon Alley, Ordinary Wizarding Level (O.W.L.) exams that feature classes on how-to-make potions, defend against dark arts (using a Nintendo Wii game), and a special visit from the Elmwood Park Zoo’s traveling wizards, carrying magical creatures and all. And what would a Harry Potter event be, without some reading? The gentle giant Hagrid, Hogwart’s groundskeeper, will be reading selections from J. K. Rowling’s fairytale book, The Tale of Beedle the Bard.
