Learn About Birds of Prey @ the Academy of Natural Sciences

For all of you out there of the avian persuasion, the Academy of Natural Sciences is holding a hands-on workshop on Thursday, November 12th focusing on raptor anatomy, identification and migration patterns. When we say “hands-on”, we mean you’ll be feeling and identifying bird skulls, feet and even the inside of a specimen’s mouth.
Laura McRae, a certified wildlife rehabilitator and manager of the Live Animal Center, and Michele Bassler, the Academy’s outreach program supervisor, are leading the workshop and will be available to share tips on bird identification and migration.
On top of getting down and dirty with some prepared specimens, attendants will get to test their new found knowledge with some live raptors (no, not the ones from Jurassic Park).
The event will begin at 6:30PM, tickets are $15.
