By the time you hit 40, getting on stage and dancing is often out of the question. Unless of course, you’re Philadanco (The Philadelphia Dance Company) and the stage is where you celebrate. A trailblazing modern contemporary dance company, the Philadanco dancers have captivated millions since 1970 with inspiring, high-energy performances.

Beginning Thursday, November 12th the Philadanco company will kick off their anniversary season. Founder and Artistic Director, Joan Myers Brown, will join the ensemble and return to the stage after 30 years for a special cameo appearance.

The program will include the world premiere of Bolero by Christopher L. Huggins, choreographed to music by Ravel; Daniel Ezralow’s Pulse, set to a spellbinding original score by David Lang of Bang on a Can; Jawole Willa Jo Zollar’s The Walkin’, Talkin’, Signifying Blue Hips and Lowdown Throwdown; and George Faison’s Suite Otis.

Don’t miss this celebration of dance.
