Posters For the People @ the National Constitution Center, Opening Tomorrow

The last time Posters for the People was in Philadelphia, the exhibit was hosted at the Adrienne Theatre. This time around, starting Thursday, November 5th, the gallery of New Deal era posters will be on display at the National Constitution Center. Created by the WPA (Works Progress Administration), these posters were made to raise awareness about public issues and civic life during the depression.
This Thursday, the NCC is hosting a special 5 After 5 event for the opening of the exhibition, inviting the public to view these posters, and listen to talks about their history. The exhibit will be on display through January 3rd, 2010, in the NCC’s Posterity Hall. Entrance to the Posters for the People exhibit is free with regular museum admission.
