This Saturday and Sunday (November 14-15), South Philly’s Navy Yard is hosting the Winter Beer Festival!

Winter is right around the corner, so it’s about time to re-familiarize yourself with the season’s brews by sampling some of the best the region (and beyond) has to offer. Over 50 breweries will be in attendance (including Philadelphia Brewing Company, Dock Street Brewery, Unibroue and many more) and each will be equipped with two types of beer to sample.

The fun doesn’t stop at beer-tasting, Robert Legget, Executive Chef of Cuba Libre, will be holding a Cooking with Beer demonstration and an actual beer historian will be on hand for a unique presentation.

There are several tasting sessions throughout the weekend and tickets begin at $45.

Schedule:
Saturday: 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm
Sunday: 1pm to 5pm

Private sessions and VIP tastings will also be held, check out the official site for more information.

Transportation:
SEPTA is running again and a great option for getting to the festival. A free shuttle to and from Broad and Pattison to the event will be provided for easy access to the subway and area buses.

Also, the festival offers special $10 designated driver tickets, which will be available at the door.

Location:
Philadelphia Navy Yard (at the Cruise Terminal)
5100 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112
