Saturday
Fitler Square Farmers Market
These happen every Saturday in Fitler Square, but Marisa wrote a wonderful post and took some fantastic pictures at the last one. Read up, and convince yourself to go.
Festival of Forgotten Foods @ Reading Terminal Market
This festival at Reading Terminal will explore delicacies long thought extinct. One particular highlight of the festival? Teaberry ice cream, made locally by the folks at the Franklin Fountain. Yum!
Upward Dog
Take a yoga class, save some puppies. Sounds like a good event to me. All proceeds from this special yoga course go towards the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society.
Punishment Blocks @ Eastern State Penn
This weekend, Eastern State Penn hosts a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Punishment Blocks, an area of the prison most visitors never get to see. The tours are today AND tomorrow, so you’ve got two chances to check it out.
Second Saturday @ the Magic Gardens
This month’s second Saturday brings a bunch of improv performances, from jazz to comedy. Definitely worth checking out.
Philadanco @ the Kimmel Center
Two more performances this weekend, tonight and tomorrow.
Winter Beer Festival @ the Navy Yard
Head over and sample over one hundred different winter beers. Runs almost all day Saturday and Sunday!
Sunday
Star Wars in Concert @ the Wachovia Center
A symphony orchestra performing Star Wars? Awesome. The show is even narrated by Anthony Daniels (C3PO!).
