The counter on McGillin’s website keeps ticking its way down to 2010, welcoming in the New Year, as well as the pub’s annual bash.

On New Year’s Eve, McGillin’s is hosting an NYE party as usual, however this one is special… it’s the kick-off celebration for their 150th anniversary! They’ll be serving a limited quantity of cask-conditioned McGillin’s 1860 IPA, giving out party favors, and hosting a dance party. With a $5 cover, this is one of the most affordable NYE parties in town, and signals the start of a year full of parties at the pub.

And the very first party starts on New Year’s Day. The pub opens at 9am on January 1st to help you stay warm during the Mummer’s Parade. McGillin’s has made it their New Year’s Resolution to serve one variety of beer for each year they’ve been open… 150 beers for 150 years. Stop by and help them out, by sampling one of the many specialty beers they’ll have available.
