I believe that handmade items, whether they be pieces of art, jars of jam or hand-knit hats, make the very best holiday gifts. However, in these busy times, finding enough spare moments to create the items for everyone on your holiday list can feel like a monumental task. However, in recent years (particularly since the advent of Etsy), I’ve learned that handmade doesn’t actually have to mean made by your own individual pair of hands.

This weekend, you have the opportunity to outfit your friends and family with hand-done art, jewelry and more by attending the Open Studio event a 915 Spring Garden. More than 35 artists and craftspeople will be hanging out in their studios, just waiting for you to drop by and purchase a lovely piece or two (I particularly recommend visiting Wendy Wolf in studio #301. I am obsessed with her unique necklaces).

The studios will be open both Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, between the hours of 12 noon and 5 p.m.
