A small army of large brass instruments is set to storm the Kimmel Center this Saturday. Their mission? Holiday cheer.

The 8th annual Tuba Christmas at the Kimmel Center brings together hundreds of regional brass players, their tubas, sousaphones, and euphoniums in tow, for a large free holiday concert. Performers will have their instruments decked out in traditional holiday decor, with mistletoe and tinsel dangling from every horn.

Hosted in the Kimmel Center’s large Commonwealth Plaza, the holiday show begins at noon on Saturday, December 19th.

Interested in joining in? If you’re a tuba player, email krushtuba[at]gmail.com, to secure a spot in the concert.
