Midtown Village wants you to buy local this holiday season.

The Midtown Village Merchants Association, the collaborative group of independent boutiques, restaurants and lodgings, is extending their successful Midtown Village Wednesdays events into the holiday season with live entertainment, sales and specials as well as later hours, at participating businesses.

The first Midtown Village Holiday Wednesday take place tonight. The event will also take place on December 9, 16 and 23.

In addition to discounts, there will be live entertainment on the streets from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Each member of the Merchants Association will participate with a holiday discount. For example, Valerie Safran, the owner of several Midtown establishments including Lolita, Bindi, Verde, and Open House is offering various discounts such as “buy one dessert, receive the second for 50% off.”

And Blue Lotus Gallery will offer 10% off all items in the store, and Absolute Abstract will be serving Hot Mulled Apple Cider and snacks. They will also extend a 20% discount on all Loft Art in Absolute Abstract, as well as “Buy one, Take one at 50% off” in Absolute Pop!
