Neighborhood Holiday Walk: First Friday in Fishtown & Kensington
It seems like the NKCDC always have something clever up their sleeves for First Friday in Kensington and Fishtown. Which is no surprise, considering these are the same people who bring us the wildly quirky Kinetic Sculpture Derby each year. And this Friday, they’ve teamed up with the Fishtown Area Business Association to throw the biggest First Friday event yet.
Over thirty merchants, galleries, and studios are participating, spanning the Frankford and Girard Avenue. Along with the usual hodgepodge of arts and crafts, food, drinks, live music, and shopping discounts, this First Friday will see the official inauguration of six brand new businesses on Frankford Ave, including Extra Extra (an art gallery), Bella Sera Cafe, Two Perfect To Glory (a vintage boutique), the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School, and two new artist collectives, Part-Time Collective & Piranha Betty’s Art Market.
For a complete list of events, be sure to visit Frankford Avenue Arts’ official website. Happy First Friday, everyone!
