Sure, the weather outside is blustery and cold, but it is quite warm inside the boutiques and galleries that dot South Street. And with the holiday season in full swing and lots of gift shopping to do, why not shop local? The South Street Winter Solstice is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Come Saturday, December 19th, visitors on South Street will be treated to a wealth of special deals. Participating restaurants and shops will be offering a 15 – 20% discount on select wares during the day.

Special highlights include discounts at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens on 10th and South. The PMG will feature a special South of the Border exhibit, complete with live Latin music, dance, arts & crafts for kids, and more. Or take a stroll down to the Eyes Gallery for refreshments and, of course, discounted merchandise.

Other participating boutiques include Astro Vintage, Mineralistic, The Vision, All Occasions Glowers, Yesterday’s Treasures, South Street Hats, and Gilly Jeans. Restaurants and bars are also offering up specials, including The Wooly Mammoth and Brauhouse Schmitz.
