Lecture on Picasso and the Avant-Garde in Paris
Have you been to see the new Picasso exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art yet? If not, consider going this Friday evening. The Museum will be offering a special lecture at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 5th about the show. Curator Michael Taylor will walk attendees through Pablo Picasso’s career trajectory, beginning with his early experiments, through is role in creating the Cubist movement and including his ongoing dialogue with Surrealism.
For those that want more than what the audio tour can give them, this is the perfect opportunity to spend a cozy hour with the curator of the exhibition and soak in all that interesting art history.
Entry to the lecture is free with the museum admission (and is completely free to area art and art history students). Click here for more information.
