At the National Constitution Center, it isn’t Mother’s Day… it’s Mother’s Weekend. Or something like that.
The NCC’s Mother Day programming kicks off Saturday, May 8th, and runs through Monday, May 10th. The folks at the NCC have developed a special program just for this weekend, engaging visitors in a 20-minute interactive show that explores the lives of women in Ancient Rome, and their respective counterparts here in America.
From Portia, the wife of Roman senator Marcus Brutus, to Abigail Adams, the second First Lady of the United States, guests will learn about their daily lives, and how the roles of women have changed over the two millennia.
The show runs all weekend, at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, and is free with general museum admission.
