This weekend, the annual West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival returns to Ogontz Avenue. Join thousands of fellow jazz lovers for a weekend of non-stop music and entertainment, featuring no less than 40 bands over two stages.

The festival includes more than just great jazz music — it also has has a strong visual arts component. Stop by the Congo Square Art Pavilion to view the works of featured visual artist Michelle Angela Ortiz, New Orleans artist Frenchy and many more.

You’re bound to get hungry sooner or later, and the food court has got you covered with an array of choices — from burgers to vegetarian options to international cuisine and festival favorites like ice cream and funnel cake.

But of course, the heart and soul of the West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival is in the music. Headlined by Grammy winner Al Jarreau, this year’s musical lineup features 100% jazz. Click here to view the full list of performers.

Our sister site, Philly 360°, posted their Jazzman’s Guide to the West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival this week, highlighting the weekend’s events and performances from an insider’s perspective — definitely a good read for those planning to attend the festival.
