Bike sharing technology is coming to Philadelphia! Much like the systems already in place in Denver and Chicago, we’ll soon be seeing pods springing up around Philly that will house the shared bikes. They are free for the first half hour of use, after that small charges accrue every additional 30 minutes.
The sharing technology will be available for view today, tomorrow and Saturday. Demonstrations are taking place today at 36th and Walnut, in front of the Penn Bookstore. Tomorrow, the location is Love Park (the 15th and JFK side). Saturday is the Walnut Plaza at Penn’s Landing. All three demos run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
