Photo of the Day: Light Drift Sets the Schuylkill River Aglow

The temporary nighttime public art display set The Schuylkill River aglow for three nights this past weekend. (Photo by Eric Howeler)

Light Drift was a big success.

Hopefully, it (or something similar) can come back soon.

Also, check out the short video Philebrity has of the installation.

Ray says:

I luckily got out here on the second night and it was pretty neat. There were tons of people out. Personally, I’d like to see a more permanent lighted fixture stretching across the water or even suspended between the bridges.

I think it’s make the area even more attractive for evening walks, tourism, etc.

I got to go for the opening night and it was really incredible – the sky looked like it was on fire as the orbs glowed. You can see my fuzzy butt about 5 orbs over in that photo, next to my mama.

And a big thanks to Uwishunu – this is where we found out about this event!
