After closing the doors of his internationally recognized music store 611 Records in 2007, Nigel Richards has launched The 611 Lifestyle, a line of dance music-inspired clothing and accessories for men and women sold online and, exclusively this weekend, at a pop-up location just off Rittenhouse Square.
Open tomorrow, Saturday, December 11th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 12th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the boutique features locally-crafted and -designed tees, jackets, record bags (originally sold in the 611 Records store), men’s dress shirts and more. Each piece exhibits Philadelphia love and representation of the 611 brand in equal parts. All prices will be lowered for the weekend, up to $20 off online prices.
DJ Nigel Richards will spin records in-store throughout the weekend, along with several other notable DJs whose careers were launched working in Richards’ 611 Records.
The pop-up shop provides a prime holiday shopping opportunity. The bonus is the support for local retail: the tees are printed in Kensington and accessories are manufactured in either Philadelphia or New York.
