Arietty Clock and her family encounter several dangers along their journey: being probed by an enormous screwdriver, attacked by a hornet, and threatened by the housekeeper, Mrs. Driver, as they emigrate from their cozy home beneath the floorboards.
Arietty learns the value of family and the power of teamwork, while befriending a boy or two along the way.
