Valerie Safran and Chef Marcie Turney, the entrepreneurs responsible for six major restaurants and boutiques on 13th Street, have launched We Heart Philly, a Philadelphia-themed gift series that includes designer totes, ceramic mugs, tees, stationary and onesies.

Chef Turney has also crafted a series for Marcie Blaine Chocolates, hand-crafted and sold at Verde, in homage to Philly. Ideal holiday gifts, We Heart Philly items can be purchased online as well as at Verde and Open House.

Custom-designed pieces in the line include: The Liberty Bell Necklace, a sterling silver pendant by local artist Colleen Heineman; children’s onesies with slogans such as “Made in Philly”; eco-conscious totes for groceries; and Philadelphia Streets & Neighborhoods notecards. Gifts range in price from $14 to $138.

“I think it’s clear that we love this community,” says Safran, who personally designed many of the gift items. “This latest venture is our way of paying tribute to Philadelphia and sharing our love of this city with other residents and fans.”
