Philadelphia Young Playwrights and InterAct Theatre Company have joined together once again to present the 2011 Young Voices High School Monologue Festival, February 16 – 19 at the Adrienne Theater.

The Festival will offer five staged professional actors’ performances of 15 winning high school monologues to both student groups and the general public. Young Playwrights, an intensive arts-education program that pairs professional teaching artists with classroom teachers, received nearly 300 monologue submissions from high school students across the region. The winners represent some of the area’s best young playwriting talent.

Tickets, $5, are available to the public for Thursday, February 17 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 19 at 2 p.m. (All other performances are for student groups only.)
