The Top 10 Most Popular Restaurants In Philadelphia According To OpenTable

Buddakan, Parc and Amada each made the top five most reserved restaurants on OpenTable. (Photos courtesy SRO and GRG)

OpenTable, the online restaurant reservation service, keeps track of their most booked restaurants in each of their cities. So we decided to take a closer look at their list of the ten most booked restaurants in Philadelphia.

Some items of note: the top 10 list includes three Stephen Starr restaurants, two restaurants by Jose Garces, three steakhouses, and three national chains, which also happen to be the three steakhouses.

The nicest surprise on the list: among all of the heavyweights and bigger special-occasion restaurants, one smaller, independent restaurant from Philadelphia’s Midtown Village made the list.

Coming in at #6, Barbuzzo may have only 65 seats and may be only some five months old, but that has not at all stopped it from keeping up with the big boys.

1. Buddakan
Old City | Asian

2. Chima Brazilian Steakhouse
Center City | Brazilian Steakhouse

3. Parc
Rittenhouse Square | French

4. Capital Grille
Center City | Steakhouse

5. Amada
Old City | Spanish

6. Barbuzzo
Midtown Village| Mediterranean

7. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse
Center City | Steak

8. R2L
Rittenhouse | American

9. Chifa
Center City | Latin American

10. Alma De Cuba
Rittenhouse Square | Cuban

Bonus: Another feather for Stephen Starr’s cap — not only does he have the #1 most booked restaurant in Philadelphia with the original Buddakan in Old City, but he also has the #2 most booked restaurant in all of New York City with Buddakan NYC. Not too shabby.
