In late 2011, popular brewery and dining destination Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will open their ninth location, and first foray into Philadelphia’s city limits, on Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill.
The 250 seat restaurant will feature comfortable dining areas, an open kitchen, an exposed microbrewery and a bustling bar area, and will offer seasonally changing new American dishes that transcend typical pub standards. The menu will include soups, sandwiches, house-made pizzas, salads and entrées.
Plus: beer enthusiasts will be able to watch the brewing process, as large plate glass windows will separate the restaurant from the brewery itself. Iron Hill’s beers have accumulated a wealth of awards from the nation’s top beer festivals, so the craftsmanship isn’t just for show.
Iron Hill is poised for even more impressive growth beyond this latest outpost, with plans to open five additional locations by 2015 from Washington D.C. to Northern New Jersey. Keep up the impressive work, Philadelphia restaurateurs!
