The 2011 Mütter Museum Masquerade Ball, March 11, Features Live Music, Birthday Cake, An Alchemy Cocktail Lab And More

Time to remove the lab coats and don the masks. The 3rd Annual Mütter Ball, on Friday, March 11, will celebrate the 200th birthday of Dr. Thomas Dent Mütter, the generous benefactor and namesake of the disturbingly informative Philadelphia landmark.

The 21+ masquerade ball will feature live music, a DJ, hors d’oeuvres, marvelous costumes, beer and wine bar, an elaborate birthday cake and the specialty drink of the night: The Mütter.

Enter The College of Physicians of Philadelphia’s ticket giveaway for your chance to win exclusive passes to the VIP Lounge where you’ll also be treated to a generous buffet, dance lessons, Victorian-inspired dinner and full access to the Alchemy Cocktail Lab.

Guests are encouraged to be creative with their costume theme, be it Victorian getup or Venetian gilded mask; but for costume-phobes, masks will be provided at the door if needed.

All proceeds from the Ball will benefit the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the oldest private medical society in America that also houses the museum. Tickets are available online.
