Save the date: on Tuesday, June 14 from 6-9 p.m., prominent chefs will leave kitchens across the country to come together in Philadelphia for the Vetri Foundation’s charitable Great Chefs Event 2011.
Philly favorites participating include Michael Solomonov of Zahav, Xochitl and Percy Street (with a new donut and fried chicken shop on the way!), Iron Chef Jose Garces, Daniel Stern of Midatlantic and R2L, and many others.
Renowned chefs will be traveling from New York, Chicago, L.A., even Italy to bring their best bites to Philadelphia.
Guests are invited to attend the evening reception, taste the all-star chefs’ stellar dishes and partake in an open bar. VIPs snag a personal meet and great with the chefs, entry to the Lemon Lounge for a premium bar and exclusive tastings, and a ticket to the after party.
The Great Chefs Event started in 2006, and benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand in the battle against childhood cancer. The event is sponsored by the Vetri Foundation for Children, founded by super-chef Marc Vetri to support youth and funding research into children’s medical issues.
Tickets, starting at $300, are available online.
