The With Love Beer Garden officially opens today!

The beer garden is open 4-8 p.m. Monday through Friday this week.

Today’s festivities kick off today at 4 p.m. and include the launch party for the re-release of Victory Summer Love Ale.

Victory Brewing Company Founder and Head Brewer Bill Covaleski is tonight’s featured brewer, so he’ll be on hand to talk about Victory and let you sample some of the brewery’s best beers. Check out our Q&A with Bill for an insider look at some of his favorite bars and restaurants in Philadelphia, why Victory sources ingredients locally and more.

All afternoon and into the evening, we’ll be live-blogging from the With Love Beer Garden to give you the up-to-the-minute scoop on the food, the music, the scene and, of course, the beer.

3:12 p.m.: Ok, we’ve arrived a little early to get set up and get the lay of the land. Stay tuned as we’ll be posting updates right here as the opening approaches.

3:20 p.m.: Awesome! Five beers on the menu tonight from Victory Brewing Company: Summer Love Ale, Prima Pils, Hop Devil, Headwaters Pale Ale and Golden Monkey.

3:28 p.m.: Hey-O! @VisitPhilly is in the house!

3:34 p.m.: Um, did we mention it’s gorgeous out here?

3:38 p.m.: Oh, wow. Just caught a whiff of something amazing smelling from the Four Seasons food offerings. Going to do some reconnaissance now…

3:46 p.m.: Did you know The Four Seasons gets its soil for the lush plantings in this courtyard from compost from its kitchens?

3:50 p.m.: Ok, so we just located the source of delicious smells. Grilled sliders, topped with Taylor pork roll, American cheese and grilled onions. Amazing.

3:56 p.m.: Bill Covaleski is in the house the garden! Bill is tonight’s featured brewer at the With Love Beer Garden and he’ll be here all night showing off a number of Victory’s delicious brews including, of course, Summer Love Ale.

4:02 p.m.: Boom. The With Love Beer Garden is officially open. Come on down. It’s frickin’ beautiful outside.

4:08 p.m.: Just cracked our first Summer Love Ale of the season. Crisp. Refreshing. Tastes like summer.

4:16 p.m. When you get here, be sure to check into the With Love Beer Garden on Foursquare or Facebook Places and you’ll get your very own Victory Summer Love Ale beer koozie.

4:27 p.m.: Breaking: Philly Beer Week’s Hammer of Glory (HOG) just made an appearance at the Beer Garden with @FSPhiladelphia, Bill Covaleski and Don Russell.

4:37 p.m.: Hungry? There’s an amazing shrimp soft taco with grilled shrimp, avocado, jalapeno and pickled cabbage on the With Love Beer Garden menu.

4:41 p.m.: The band, Kombu Combo, is scheduled to start playing at 5 p.m. They’ll be dropping some serious jazz and world music for the enjoyment of beer garden guests…

4:52 p.m.: Tonight’s dessert: Franklin Fountain and Victory have teamed up to create a delicious strawberry ice cream made with the Summer Love wort and local organic strawberries. Bill Covaleski just said it reminds him of Lucky Charms marshmallows.

4:56 p.m.: Oh wow, even though our beer is ice cold, our hands are totally fine thanks to this amazing Summer Love Ale beer koozie…

4:58 p.m.: Also amazing from the grill at the With Love Beer Garden: the “Richmond Kielbasa Sandwich” with caramelized onions and polish mustard. Recommended.

5:02 p.m.: In addition to the Summer Love Ale, some of Bill’s favorite beers for outdoor drinking that are also here are Prima Pils and Headwaters Pale Ale.

5:15 p.m.: The band sounds awesome… come and hear for yourself!

5:19 p.m.: Another must-try: the Lancaster honey-glazed chicken wings. Delicious.

5:21 p.m.: If you get here now, you can take your picture with the Hammer of Glory!

5:23 p.m.: @Foobooz is in the house!

5:26 p.m.: Did we mention we have Koozies? No big deal.

5:28 p.m.: The Band Kombu Combo is rocking out.

5:30 p.m.: It’s official. Beer Gardens rule. If you’re within a five-mile radius, you need to come to the With Love Beer Garden at the Four Seasons courtyard immediately.

5:32 p.m.: Ok, it’s after 5:30 which means it’s probably time to sign off the live blog. But we’ll be here for a while still. There’s still more than two hours of fun to be had in the beer garden tonight, not to mention that it will be here all week long. Thanks to everyone for coming out!!!
