Taste locally crafted chocolate, cheese and wine — for charity! (Photo courtesy John & Kira's)
Head to Cichetteria 19 in Rittenhouse for a lovely teaming-up of lcoal artisan chocolate, wine and cheese — from John & Kira’s, Penns Wood Winery and Shellbark Hollow Farm, respectively — to benefit the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative, a program of the Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania.
The initiative is a university-community partnership that engages K-16+ learners to improve community nutrition and wellness. In that same spirit of cultivating local energy, the pairing event offers the chance to taste some of the most delicious locally crafted products all in one place. In fact, you can also meet some of the kids that grow some of the mint, rosemary and chili peppers that John & Kira’s uses in their chocolates.
Tickets, $50, are available online. All proceeds will go directly to the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative to support a three-acre community food resource center in southwest Philadelphia.
