South Street Headhouse District’s Outdoor Summer Indie Film Series Kicks Off Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15

Looking for a fun, open-air and free way to spend your Wednesday nights this summer? Grab a chair and head over to Headhouse Square for the Annual Summer Indie Film Series, kicking off this Wednesday, June 15 and running through August 31.

Weekly programming begins at 7 p.m. with an exclusive music performance by a local band or musician, followed by a brief introduction to the featured film by the filmmaker at 7:30 p.m., and the movie at 8 p.m.

Opening night on June 15 will feature a performance by Jazz and R&B singer Jeannie Brooks, and will showcase the local short film Hopes and Fears, which explores the “culture, beauty, and honest concerns about Philadelphia.”

Bring a chair, a blanket, a picnic basket — and enjoy a summertime evening in the city.
