Tangle, a brand-new aerial acrobatics company based in University City, presents Ampersand for the Fringe Festival, a performance combining traditional circus arts — trapeze, aerial rope and partner acrobatics — with powerful narratives of memory and belonging.

The show runs in a limited engagement, September 8 and 9, at Philadelphia Soundstages in Northern Liberties.

You’ll journey with the aerial artists through an urban dreamscape, dotted with everything from tree branches and aerial silks, to a jar of fireflies and a basket of laundry.

Tangle members are highly talented; they have studied performance and trained in circus arts at schools from around the world to the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts in Germantown. It’s sure to be a transporting, if nothing else, performance.
