MilkBoy Coffee’s First Center City Outpost Opens For Beverage Service Today, August 15, With Food And Live Music Schedule To Follow

MilkBoy Coffee has officially broached Philadelphia city limits, with its new 11th and Chestnut location opening today, August 15, for beverage service.
The Main-Lined based MilkBoy Studios and coffee shops has two locations: Ardmore and Bryn Mawr. And this Center City bar/venue will complement its co-chains with MilkBoy’s tradition of great coffee, table-serviced breakfast, lunch and dinner — plus two bars, upstairs and down. This spot is the first MilkBoy location to have a liquor license.
The top-level venue space for live music can hold about 200. Expect not only band gigs, but also open mics and karaoke.
The vegeterian-friendly food menu at the new location, debuting in the weeks to come, will feature staples from the existing MilkBoy cafes (think seitan quesadillas and vegan cupcakes), as well as some additions. Operational partner Bill Hanson, formerly of Jose Garces’ JG Domestic, will be managing the new location, so you can expect a local bent to the offerings.
A grand opening party and inaugural music show are scheduled to take place in the upstairs venue space come mid-September. Stay tuned (so to speak).
MilkBoy Coffee’s hours are 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.

I don’t even know if they’ll have the kind of music I’m into here but I’m excited and will support for the mere fact it’s on Chestnut St in CC and we need more businesses like this in the area. But judging from what I’ve seen, I’m pretty sure I’ll love it:)
