Phillies Fever: Where To Watch Phillies Playoff Baseball – NLDS Game 1, Saturday at 5:07; Game 2, Sunday at 8:07

The NLDS starts tomorrow and you're not going to want to miss a minute of the action. Even if you're not going to be one of the lucky fans at Citizens Bank Park, we have a number of great suggestions for where you can go to watch with a crew of enthusiastic Phillies faithful. They’re finally here. The Major League Baseball playoffs have arrived. They start tonight, however, much more importantly, the Phillies begin their playoff march tomorrow, Saturday, October 1 at 5:07 p.m.

And even if you’re not one of the lucky fans at Citizens Bank Park for Games 1 and 2 of the National League Division Series this weekend against the St. Louis Cardinals, we have a number of great suggestions of places to watch with a crew of loud and proud Phillies faithful.

Game 1 starts at 5:07 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, while Game 2 will be Sunday at 8:07 p.m. And with everything else going on this weekend in the city, this is sure to be a truly epic weekend in Philadelphia.

And wherever you end up watching, you really can’t go wrong — this town has officially caught Phillies Fever. And there is going to be a sea of Phillies Red all across the city on Saturday and Sunday. We can’t wait.

Chickie’s and Pete’s: Voted “North America’s Best Sports Bar” by ESPN Mobile, Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar is South Philly’s premiere sports bar located just a few blocks from Citizen’s Bank Park. The 24,000 square foot location boasts three bars, a 14-foot television and Chickie’s and Pete’s signature Crab Fries.

McFadden’s Ballpark: With 33 high-definition televisions and two projector screens, it’s no surprise some ticket holders watch the game at McFadden’s at Citizens Bank Park. Even when the Phillies are out of town, many locals still head to the stadium to grab a bite and a brew at McFadden’s.

City Tap House: Steps from University of Pennsylvania and Drexel, City Tap House has one of the most extensive draft beers lists in the city. With 60 drafts, including many rare and sought-after craft brews, you definitely won’t go thirsty during the game.

Piazza at Schmidt’s: It’s hard to miss this 80,000 square foot plaza in Northern Liberties and even harder to miss the game thanks to a 40-foot LED television. Bring a lawn chair or sit at one of the many bar/restaurants surrounding the Piazza including Gunners Run, P.Y.T. Bar and Burger Joint and Darling’s Diner.

Ladder 15: Once a firehouse, Ladder 15 is now a spacious sports bar in Rittenhouse Square. Along with rotating drafts of local and specialty beers, Ladder 15 also serves classic pub food with a twist, including an oxtail “cheesesteak” and korean tacos.

SugarHouse Casino: Philadelphia’s first casino, SugarHouse features 45,000 square-feet of gaming with picturesque views of the Delaware River. After trying your luck on the gaming floor, head over to Lucky Red to watch the game and grab some stadium-style eats.

Tony Luke’s Beef & Beer Sports Bar: Located across the street from Tony Luke’s Original location, saddle up to Tony Luke’s Beef & Beer Sports Bar for a delicious traditional Philly cheesesteak and a great view of the game.

Fado: Get a taste of Ireland in the heart of Center City at Fado. Soccer may be the sport of choice at this Irish-inspired pub, but rest assured Fado will be packed with red when the Phillies take the field.

Field House: Located at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the Field House is a top spot for Philly sports fans. With over 50 television, the Field House is extremely popular spot to watch the game, so be sure to arrive early to claim your spot.

Public House: A popular happy hour destination in Center City, Public House has plenty of space for large groups wanting to watch the game, grab a martini and relax.

Fox & Hound: It’s all sports, all the time at the Fox & Hound. You’ll be surrounded by televisions and die-hard fans as you enjoy a beer and a bite to eat at this massive sports bar at 15th and Spruce Streets.

Irish Pub: With two locations to choose from, you’re never too far from an Irish Pub in Center City. Order up some pub fare, drink a pint and enjoy the game. Interesting fact: part of Rocky Balboa was filmed at Irish Pub’s Rittenhouse location.

McGillin’s Old Ale House: For nearly 150 years, McGillin’s Old Ale House has been serving up cold beer, solid bar food and friendly service. Located on a tiny alley around the corner from City Hall, McGillin’s offers relaxed dinner and drinks during the game.

Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse: This Center City bar and grill has everything a sports fan needs. Root on the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers on 12 flat-screen televisions and don’t worry about the time, their full menu is available until 1 a.m.

Tavern on Broad: It doesn’t get much better than a burger, beer and your favorite team. Tavern on Broad has you covered with 34 televisions along with drink specials and dollar dogs during the game.

Misconduct Tavern: Featuring upscale pub fare, an extensive beer list and plenty of televisions, Misconduct Tavern is a top spot for sports in Center City. Be sure to check out their specials during major sporting events.

O’Neals Pub: Visitors inevitably find their way to South Street for shopping, food and music. But for sports, they take a few steps down 3rd Street to O’Neals where the taps are always pouring area microbrews and the satellite system displays top sports from all over the world.

Drinkers Tavern/Pub/West: Scattered throughout the city, Drinkers Tavern, Drinkers Pub and Drinkers West all serve up $1 hot dogs during Phillies games. In addition to drink specials, Drinker’s West in University City has a massive 110-inch television so you won’t miss a minute of the playoffs.

Paddy Whacks Irish Sports Pub: There are over a dozen televisions to catch the game at this laid back South Street sports pub. The menu features traditional Irish favorites like Shepherd’s pie and fish and chips along with bar favorites like wings and pizza.

North Bowl: A fashionable Northern Liberties hotspot, North Bowl features two full bars, an upstairs lounge and, of course, bowling. Enjoy a few frames while cheering on the Phillies and order a bite to eat from a selection of comforting eats, including tater tot plates and tasty corn dogs.

Buffalo Billiards: With two floors, two bars, pool tables, shuffle board and nearly a half-dozen dart boards, you won’t run out of things to do at Buffalo Billiards. Fortunately, there are also plenty of televisions scattered throughout the bar so you won’t miss a minute of the action.

Locust Rendezvous: A no-frills bar in the heart of Center City, Locust Rendezvous a popular spot for postseason excitement. Local sports fans pack the bar during games thanks to generous drink specials, signature wings and a festive atmosphere.

Perch Pub: Sitting above the Avenue of the Arts, Perch Pub offers spectacular views of the city and plenty of ways to watch the game. The menu features tasty, modern pub fare with a great selection of local beers to wash it all down.

Elephant & Castle: A great spot to head after work, Elephant & Castle Pub and Restaurant has plenty of room for groups looking to watch the game. Curb your appetite with signature pub grub, including Shepherd’s pie or bangers and mash.

13 Restaurant: Located in the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, 13 Restaurant has a lively bar where you can sip on a cocktail while cheering on the Phillies.

Brauhaus Schmitz: The festive atmosphere at Brauhaus Schmitz, Philadelphia’s authentic German Bierhall on South Street, is perfect for Playoff excitement. Satiate your hunger with delicious German cuisine and wash it all down with one of 20 beers on tap, available in traditional one-liter steins.

Percy Street Barbecue: Inspired by the Texas frontier, Percy Street Barbecue’s succulent beef brisket and comforting Southern cooking is a sure-fire grand slam during the playoffs.

Distrito: You can’t go wrong with the delicious Mexican cuisine and a margarita at Jose Garces’ colorful outpost in University City. The wall of Lucha Libre masks will help you channel your competitive spirit as you root for the hometown team.

Mid-Atlantic Restaurant and Tap Room: For decades, the ideal baseball-watching meal has been a beer and a hot dog. Chef Daniel Stern has updated this sports tradition with his housemade Smoke House Dog served with local craft beers on tap at Mid-Atlantic Restaurant and Tap Room in University City.

Pizzeria Stella: In addition to delicious wood-fired pizza, Pizzeria Stella in Society Hill, will be showing every Phillies playoff game at the bar and serving up $3 Narragansett beer specials.

Memphis Taproom: Head outside to the beer garden at Memphis Taproom to watch all Phillies Playoff night games on the projection screen. Bonus: Sly Fox cans are just $3 during the game.
