River Wards Restaurant Week Returns October 2-8 With Special Deals And Prix-Fixe Menus In Kensington, Fishtown And Port Richmond
River Wards Restaurant Week 2011 kicks off this Sunday, October 2 and lasts through Saturday, October 8.
It’s a great opportunity to sample some of the delicious cuisine in Kensington, Fishtown and Port Richmond at a special price. Last year was a success with eight major eateries participating, and this year’s has expanded even more.
The goal of the event is to encourage people to try foods for the first time, like Pho or roasted duck, and also hype old favorites in the neighborhood, which has been growing increasingly into a culinary hotbed.
This year’s River Wards Restaurant & Cafe Week has a few new participants, some new, some well established favorites. Think Frankford Hall, Johnny Brenda’s, Byrne’s Tavern, New Wave Cafe and more.
