Rum Bar To Host The 4th Annual Mojito Olympics Beginning Tonight, October 3

Philadelphians don’t have to go far to imbibe tropical drinks, even in the fall.

Mojitos in particular, the refreshing mixture comprised of rum, mint, sugar, soda and lime, are aplenty at Rum Bar, located just off of Rittenhouse Square.

Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, October 3, Rum Bar is hosting the first round of competition in its 4th annual Mojito Olympics, sponsored by Don Q Rum.

Every Monday in October four bartenders will compete in various contests such as fastest muddler, mystery bin and best in show. Winners from each week will come back to compete in the Medal Round on October 24.

Rum Bar will hand-pick one of their patrons to guest judge the weekly battle. His or her efforts will not go unrecognized, as the guest judge will receive a $50 Rum Bar gift certificate for his/her labors.

Rum Bar boasts more than 200 rums, guaranteeing a creative contest by the bartending contestants, as well as an endless number of delectable mojito possibilities. Yum.
