It’s time once again to celebrate the sights, smells and tastes of autumn during the 11th annual Harvest Festival at Reading Terminal Market on Saturday, October 15.

Normally bustling with traffic, Filbert Street will be shut down to make way for an urban farm complete with bales of hay, corn stalks and plenty of local, seasonal eats.

City dwellers can go country for the day with outdoor hayrides around the Market, a pie-eating contest, and family-friendly games and activities all day, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Vendors will be offering sweet seasonal favorites like pumpkin whoopee pies, molasses cookies, apple spice cake along with Market favorites including donuts, fudge and barbecue. In addition, there will be plenty of local produce such as apples, squash and pumpkins.

Throughout the day, enjoy live music from local bluegrass band Special Delivery.

Admission to the festival is free.
