When we first noticed that Chip Roman’s Mica was included in Food & Wine’s just-released list of the Top 10 Restaurant Dishes of 2011, we were hugely impressed and excited.

Then we let it gestate and realized… this is a really big deal.

Mica is only 10 months old, and it’s only young Chip Roman’s second restaurant.

His first spot, Blackfish, was named number one in Philadelphia Magazine’s list of the area’s 50 best restaurants in 2010, and he just opened Ela in Queen Village with Chef Jason Cichonski, who opened Mica with him.

Food & Wine picked Mica’s Artichoke Agnolotti as one of their ultimate favorite plates across the entire country. Writer Kristin Donnelly refers to the dish, a combo of pasta, artichoke filling and miso, as “exceptional.”

You know what that means; you’ve got to try it yourself. Call (267) 335-3912 for reservations.
