Now Open: Impact Imports, A Furniture And Home Decor Shop In Old City

Impact Imports specializes in rare items hand-picked by the husband-wife owners Drew and Suzanne McDaniel on their many global travels. (Photo courtesy Impact Imports)
If you’ve looked high and low for a pair of antique teak pillars in blue, interior/exterior river rock garden lights, or a Buddha head carved to perfection from limestone with no luck, your fortune is about to change.
Straight from the Rocky Mountains, Impact Imports is now open in Old City.
Drew and Suzanne McDaniel, husband and wife owners of Impact Imports in Boise, Idaho, were visiting relatives here in town just last month when they happened upon a dream space for a new store location in Old City. So they loaded up a truck with many of their wares in Idaho and had it all shipped to N. 2nd Street.
Impact Imports is a 10-year-old retailer specializing in rare items hand-picked by the McDaniels on their many travels. In addition to the retail side of the business, Impact Imports also works with builders, interior designers and independent clients on custom-made orders like teak dining tables or bar tops and marble or river rock bath tubs.
In effect, if you can dream it, Impact Imports can have it custom-made just for you. You can see some of their completed custom projects on their website.
Be sure to check out their selection of unusual gemstone jewelry, too.
Fun fact about Idaho, home of the potato. Its state flower is the Syringa, otherwise known as the Philadelphus lewisii. Looks like this move was meant to be.

Thank you, Uwishunu, for the nice blog post about our new store! We are VERY excited to be in Philadelphia and look forward to meeting and making new friends in the area. You will find us to be passionate about what we do, and we think you’ll enjoy coming to our store often, if only just to “see what’s new.”
Congrats on your new store. We always look forward to every Impact Imports visit in Boise, ID. A new adventure always awaits each us. One of our favorite items is our coffee table which was once a dining table which was once old railroad track timbers. Great creative minds at Impact Imports! Philadelphia will really enjoy these new neighbors.
Hey, Congrats on the Philly store! Why not open one in Oklahoma City?! There is NOTHING like it here! We miss you guys. As luck would have it, I had a window coverings installer in the new house this morning, and he LOVED everything that came from Impact Imports! Our Buddha fountain is the hit of our neighborhood in Oklahoma — where ‘culture’ is something they grow in a dish…:-) Take care, and when we get to Boise to visit, we will come by and see you.
