Space 1026 is hosting its annual art auction on Friday, December 9, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the event commencing at 7 p.m.

Space 1026 is a 14-year-old member-run gallery and collective studio space located in Center City. Space 1026′s members work in a wide variety of media, from printmaking to sculpture to video arts.

The art auction provides an accessible way for new audiences to discover and own great art donated by the gallery’s members and supporters.

This particular auction has a $5 starting bid on all items. With prices that low, you can undoubtedly take home a brilliant original work of art by a gifted local artist.

There’s an auction preview night on First Friday, December 2, from 7-10 p.m., so you’ll be able to scope out your favorite piece long before the bidding begins. Auction items will be added as they come in, so if you miss the preview, feel free to stop into Space 1026 during the week to sneak a peek at these masterpieces before the auction.
