Act II Playhouse Presents Laughing All The Way, A Hilarious Holiday Show On Stage Through December 31

Act II Playhouse in Ambler is in full holiday mode with its presentation of the hilarious original variety show titled “Laughing All the Way.”

Written by Act II regulars Will Dennis, Tony Braithwaite, Howie Brown and Sonny Leo (who are also the players in this fun romp), the 75-minute show is a creative and amusing combination of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and Art Linkletter’s “Kids Say the Darndest Things.”

Each show features a different child, chosen through a writing contest, who gets on stage to read a funny letter to Santa detailing a desired holiday present. An audience member is also selected to reveal a few choice details of his or her life for a comical improvisational skit called “It’s Your Wonderful Life.”

There are even cameo appearances by famous celebs like Kermit the Frog and Carnac the Magnificent (one of Johnny Carson’s most famous characters), as well as the not-so-famous, like the holiday “Helf” from Yonkers named Bemused who uses poem therapy to work on his issues.

Holiday music — complete with Leo on piano throughout the show — rounds out this laugh-filled evening.

No matter the holiday you celebrate, “Laughing All The Way” is an entertaining night for adults and children alike. Get tickets online.
