The Second Annual Philadelphia Type-IN, A Celebration Of Vintage Typewriters, Set For December 10 At Bridgewater’s Pub

Say goodbye to the fluorescent computer screen for just one day, and sit down at a classic, old-fashioned typewriter to take in the vintage charm of the clacking machine at the 2nd annual Philadelphia Type-IN, Son of a Type-IN.

This year, celebrate the art and timeless beauty of typewriters at the quirky event back by popular demand, held on Saturday, December 10 from 1-4:30 p.m. hosted in Bridgewater’s Pub within 30th Street Station.

With Type-IN events’ increasing popularity, they are now held in more than twelve cities in the U.S., uniting typewriters and their owners for an afternoon of writing, drinks and conversation.

Son of a Type-IN, sponsored by www.midtek.me and Trophy Bikes, features a typing speed competition with the chance to take home a typewriter of your own.

Swap, sell and appreciate the click-clacking manual machines, as well as a holiday snail-mail writing sprint, with postage and stationary provided.

RSVP to phillytyper@gmail.com, and your manual typewriter or stamped envelope gets you free admission. Type away!
