Philadelphia’s own Benjamin Franklin turns 306 this year, and the Franklin Institute is celebrating with two special ceremonies.

On Tuesday, January 17 at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m., head to the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial on the second floor of the museum for a special celebration.

The program includes a reading of Now and Ben, a chance to make your own kite and the singing of “Happy Birthday” to Ben.

The festivities last for 30 minutes, after which you’re free to explore the rest of the museum. Be sure to check out honorary Franklin exhibits, like the Franklin Air Show and Electricity.
