With the chilly winter weather starting to linger, Nodding Head Brewery appropriately pays homage to “ice beers” with their second annual Ice Capades event on Saturday, January 14 from 3-6 p.m.

Similar to a German Eisbock, Nodding Head’s ales will undergo a degree of fractional freezing which involves the forming and filtering of ice crystals resulting in a greater increase of alcohol content.

Therefore, drinking with caution may be suggested.

Brews, ranging from $5-$7, include the brewery’s 60 Shilling, BPA, O-TAY, Funky Wine and Oatmeal Stout, and all will be topped off in a wine glass.

In addition, sequins and face-masks are welcomed as all event-goers are encouraged to don their best ice apparel for the gelid affair.
