Marc Vetri, Philadelphia’s beloved chef and leader in Italian cuisine, is raising the bar once again and offering an elevated experience for his guests at Osteria.
With the help of Tiare Technology, Osteria debuted a new ordering system called Wireless Winelist on February 8, a patented solution for ordering wine, beer and cocktails on an iPad.
Says partner Jeff Benjamin of why they opted to implement Wireless Winelist, “We take great pride in providing our guests with Italian wine offerings that will perfectly complement our cuisine. This system allows our guests greater insight to what makes these wines unique.”
Already implemented in many casinos, hotels and nightclubs, the app easily allows guests to sort through Osteria’s selection of wines by region, type and price range in order to make their picks for the table. The restaurant provides the iPads to diners with the Wireless WineList software on them.
If you’re not a wine connoisseur, the system provides users with a Consideration List which still gives the one-on-one opportunity to direct questions to servers about particular bottles.
Early word from the restaurant is that customers appear to like the new feature.
