This June, the Roots Picnic returns even bigger and better than ever. The highly anticipated annual music festival, now in its fifth year, has expanded and will be taking over Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing for TWO days, June 2-3, with its always eclectic mix of artists.
This year’s lineup once again highlights a mix of big names, underground sensations and local up-and-comers, headlined by hip-hop legends De La Soul. Other notable names include Kid Cudi, Diplo, Major Lazer, Wale and many, many more.
And of course The Roots will be rocking Festival Pier all weekend performing their own material as well as serving as the backing band during De La Soul’s set.
Tickets go on sale to the public, this Friday at ticketmaster.com. And for you early-birds, okayplayer.com is offering an exclusive pre-sale today until 10 p.m. for single-day passes and a two-day festival pass.
