BalletX Presents Its Spring Series, Classic Meets Whimsy, April 18-22 At The Wilma Theater
BalletX is ready to present their 2012 Spring Series,
Classic Meets Whimsy, at the Wilma Theater, April 18-22.
As usual, expect a rousing performance of modern ballet boasting innovative choreography, intriguing costumes and contemporary music.
The show combines a World Premiere by former Joffrey and Pennsylvania Ballet Principal Dancer Jodie Gates; a 2009 BalletX Premiere by internationally recognized choreographer Edwaard Liang set to the music of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations; and a 2010 BalletX Premiere by Matthew Neenan, a striking and whimsical ballet set to the music of American indie rock band Beirut.
BalletX is the perfect performance for ballet-phobes, who will soon after be hooked on the art form.
