Rachel Costa, Reenactor At The Betsy Ross House

Watch today’s video to meet Rachel Costa, one of the women who plays Betsy Ross at the famous historical house of the woman who made the first American flag right here in Historic Philadelphia.

The Betsy Ross House is among Philadelphia’s most popular attractions. Betsy, who made a living as a furniture upholsterer, rented the 1740 home, and the teeny-tiny rooms and tight little staircases give a good portrayal of a working class woman’s life in colonial America.

Meet Rachel, see inside the Betsy Ross House if you haven’t been before, and learn what else she (a.k.a. Rachel) loves about Philadelphia, perfect for this weekend’s gorgeous forecast.
