The Arden Theatre Puts A Fresh Spin On The Classic Tale Of Robin Hood, April 25-June 24

The Arden's family-friendly productions are always appealing to all ages, and extremely artistically impressive. Robin Hood is no exception. (Photo courtesy Arden)
The original outlaw hero, Robin Hood, comes to the Arden Theatre, April 25-June 24, and of course his trusty band of Merry Men and Maid Marian are by his side.
As is to be expected, this lively crew engages in swordfights and mischievous trickery whilst they go about setting things right in Nottingham’s Sherwood Forest. But the Arden also gives the classic Robin Hood tale a fresh spin, with its highly physical and interactive production.
Kids will surely get a kick out of the playground-like atmosphere where found objects transform into props. Live music plus sequences with audience participation add an extra kick for all ages.
Like all of its family-friendly productions, the Arden gives as much care and thought to this show as is does for the mainstage. The cast features first-rate thespians. After every performance there’s a Q&A session followed by an opportunity for kids to meet actors in the lobby. To make the occasion even more memorable, all children receive a free commemorative show poster.
